About the position

The Software Developer role within the Apple Information Security (AIS) team focuses on developing services to identify and mitigate security risks. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about security and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. The role involves hands-on work to identify issues, create solutions, and collaborate with business stakeholders to implement those solutions, making a significant impact on global security.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams across Apple to prioritize and build the product roadmap
• Advocate for your solutions and secure buy-in
• Continue to research, drive, and develop solutions
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of telemetry, detection, and response actions

Requirements

• Experience with Rust and/or Go
• Familiarity with C/C++, Swift, Objective-C, or Scala
• Knowledge and experience with computer science data structures and algorithms
• Experience working with SQL and No-SQL data stores
• Experience working with the Linux kernel
• Experience in the kernel space for Unix or Darwin
• Skilled in cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Microservices

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working on observability technology such as eBPF
• Experience with open source endpoint security tools
• Expertise with both building and using log aggregation and distributed monitoring tools (Splunk, Elastic Stack, etc.)
• Experience with application tracing, monitoring, analysis and visualizations through analytics dashboards
• Experience using and releasing open source software in corporate environments, with knowledge of licensing and legal review processes
