About the position

The Senior Software Engineer in Finance Tech Card Data Transformation at Capital One is responsible for driving major transformations within the company by developing and implementing innovative technical solutions. The position requires a strong background in software engineering, particularly in back-end development, and a passion for leveraging data and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Work together with partners across Capital One to deliver future industry-defining products, platforms, and experiences.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
• Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and participate in technology communities.
• Mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not count).
• 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js, PySpark, Docker.
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
