About the position

The Senior Software Engineer in Finance Tech Card Data Transformation at Capital One is responsible for driving major transformations within the company by developing innovative solutions that enhance customer experiences. This role involves collaborating with various teams to design, implement, and support technical solutions using a range of programming languages and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Work together with partners across Capital One to deliver future industry-defining products, platforms, and experiences.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.
• Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and mentor other engineering community members.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially.
• Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, along with various AWS tools and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not count).

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js, PySpark, Docker.
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
