About the position

The Senior Software Engineer, Front End at Capital One will play a crucial role in developing innovative software solutions for the Dealer Tech division, which focuses on auto loan technology. This position involves working with a team to modernize payment systems and maintain accurate accounting for Auto Dealer Reserve Accounts, ensuring a seamless experience for dealer partners. The role emphasizes collaboration, technical design, and the use of cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Perform software development on Front End Applications leveraging a test-driven development pattern.
• Own the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply).

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, React, Angular, Node, TypeScript, or Java.
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
