About the position

The Senior Software Engineer, Front End at Capital One will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications that support the Auto Dealer Financials team, which is crucial for accurate accounting of Auto Dealer Reserve Accounts. This role involves leveraging modern technologies and frameworks to drive transformation within the company, focusing on delivering robust cloud-based solutions that enhance financial empowerment for customers.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of developers experienced in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Perform software development on Front End Applications using a test-driven development pattern.
• Own the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
• Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and mentor other engineering community members.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that enhance user experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply).

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience in JavaScript, React, Angular, Node, TypeScript, or Java.
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
