About the position

The Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (React) at Perpay is responsible for leading the technical design and implementation of frontend features for sizable production applications. This role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure an excellent user experience while writing clean, maintainable code. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in frontend technologies, particularly React, and will contribute to the engineering design process, bringing innovative solutions to the team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and other engineers to ensure frontend meets business needs and provides an excellent user experience.
• Ensure application responsiveness and accessibility across different devices and platforms.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Contribute to the engineering design process by discussing tradeoffs and opinions.
• Leverage research on frontend technologies to bring best practices and innovation to code and user experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering commercial products to market.
• Significant experience with React and the React ecosystem, preferably Redux.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, including the latest ECMAScript standards.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Experience optimizing web applications for performance and accessibility.
• Product focus and a passion for UX/UI design or familiarity with UX/UI principles.
• Strong curiosity about industry trends.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, prioritizing software engineering best practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with React Native.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
