About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer in Full Stack at Capital One, you will play a crucial role in the Bank Modernization initiative, contributing to the design and development of key components within a new core platform. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and enhance business operations, efficiency, and customer satisfaction through cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.
• Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and participate in technology communities.
• Mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Work with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance user experiences.
• Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, along with various AWS tools and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply).

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
