About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer at Capital One, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on building innovative technology solutions that address complex business challenges. This role emphasizes collaboration within Agile teams to design, develop, and implement full-stack applications, leveraging a variety of programming languages and cloud technologies. You will play a key role in driving transformation within the organization while mentoring fellow engineers and staying abreast of emerging tech trends.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions.
• Stay updated on tech trends and experiment with new technologies.
• Mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Work with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions.
• Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go.
• Work with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience in Java, SQL, Python, Go, or JavaScript.
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
