About the position
The Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack position at Capital One focuses on developing and implementing technical solutions within the Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) team. This role involves collaborating with Agile teams to create cloud-based solutions that enhance customer experiences and drive financial empowerment for millions of Americans. The position emphasizes a passion for technology, innovation, and mentoring within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.
- Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and participate in technology communities.
- Mentor other members of the engineering community.
- Work with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
- Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, along with various AWS tools and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply).
Nice-to-haves
- 4+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Python, or JavaScript
- 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
- 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
