About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer at Capital One, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on full-stack development, utilizing a variety of programming languages and cloud technologies. This role emphasizes collaboration within Agile teams to design, develop, and implement innovative technical solutions that enhance customer experiences and drive financial empowerment. You will also have the opportunity to mentor fellow engineers and stay updated on the latest technology trends.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development.
• Share knowledge and mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Work with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
• Utilize programming languages and technologies such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, and various AWS tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply).

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience in JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.
• 3+ years of experience with shift-left testing practices.
• 3+ years of experience with test-driven development (TDD).
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
