About the position

Datadog is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the engineering team in developing high-scale integrations with Google Cloud. This role involves expanding and maintaining API integrations, contributing to mission-critical services, and collaborating with other teams to enhance support for Google Cloud within the Datadog platform. The position emphasizes technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural design for distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and drive architectural discussions within the team.
• Contribute code to new and existing services.
• Partner with other teams and stakeholders to shape the product roadmap.
• Design and architect resilient solutions for distributed systems at scale.
• Mentor junior team members and improve day-to-day practices.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering.
• Experience with strongly-typed languages such as Go, Java, or C++.
• Proven track record of executing and delivering projects.
• Experience building and maintaining systems at scale.
• Familiarity with cloud environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with teams and stakeholders.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
