As a Senior Software Engineer in our Global E-commerce Customer Business team, you will play a crucial role in building an innovative, secure, and intuitive e-commerce ecosystem for our millions of loyal users. In this position, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other disciplines to explore the next generation of shopping experiences on TikTok. You will lead end-to-end system design across multiple teams and functions, ensuring that we deliver a reliable shopping experience that includes browsing product details, check-out, shopping, return, and refund processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for building platforms and tools for merchants and clients to manage promotions and campaigns effectively, delivering actionable insights to drive the best results. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other disciplines to explore the next generation of shopping experiences on TikTok.
• Lead end-to-end system design across multiple teams and functions.
• Build an intuitive and reliable shopping experience, including browsing product details, check-out, shopping, return, and refund processes.
• Develop platforms and tools for merchants, clients, and businesses to manage promotions and campaigns, delivering actionable insights.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors/experience.
• 5+ years of related working experience with 1+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Work experience with E-Commerce Products and/or a vertical industry (including Monetization, Retail, Travel, Financial Service, etc).
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, proficient in at least one coding language, including but not limited to Go, Javascript, Java, C++.
• Good understanding of business, technical abstraction, and system module design.
• Experience with large-scale website architecture.
