About the position
Narmi is seeking a Mobile Engineer to join our Mobile Engineering team, which is dedicated to developing and maintaining our Mobile Digital Banking and Mobile Account Opening products. This role focuses on creating solutions that enhance the customer experience for financial institutions, enabling them to compete effectively against larger banks and fintech companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, particularly in mobile development, and will contribute to building products that meet the everyday banking needs of users.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mobile banking applications using React Native.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks in mobile applications.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Mobile specific engineering experience, particularly with React Native in a production environment.
- Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English.
- Located or willing to work in New York City.
- United States citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
Nice-to-haves
- 7 or more years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Python (especially Django).
- Experience at a startup or financial technology firm.
