About the position

The Senior iOS Developer at Walmart Marketplace is responsible for the development and maintenance of applications for iOS devices, focusing on creating innovative, user-friendly mobile experiences. This role involves collaborating with other engineers and developers, leading projects, and ensuring the integration of applications with back-end services. The position emphasizes end-to-end development, performance optimization, and Agile methodologies, aiming to enhance Walmart's mobile presence and improve customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Gather requested information such as design documents and product requirements, and write and develop code.
• Conduct unit testing and communicate status and issues to team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project teams and cross-functional teams, troubleshoot open issues, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Lead small groups of engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned engineering projects, providing direction and feedback.
• Troubleshoot business and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and complete online documentation.
• Provide support to the business by responding to user questions and concerns, identifying solutions, and facilitating resolutions.
• Lead the discovery phase of projects to develop high-level designs in partnership with product management and user experience teams.
• Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply it to the development and improvement of action plans.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders to identify business needs and monitor progress and results.

Requirements

• B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of iOS development experience.
• 6+ years of experience building, testing, and shipping commercially available iOS apps.
• Proficient in Objective-C or Swift and experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, MVVM, VIPER, MVP, etc.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful JSON APIs and web services platforms.
• Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
• Experience with performance tuning and offline storage.
• Familiarity with continuous integration CI/CD development environments/tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with mobile (web/native) development.
• Experience in App Profiling and non-functional testing.
• Exposure to full stack development.
