About the position

The Cloud and Enterprise-Application Platform (CEA-AP) at ThousandEyes is focused on building visuals of aggregate metrics that actively participate in path visualization, metric representation for various tests, and visual enrichment details. This data empowers customers to generate performance metrics about network services and servers. As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in migrating the frontend component of CEA views from a monolithic application to a new micro-frontend architecture. This initiative aims to introduce highly-requested functionalities that will significantly reduce the time required for root cause analysis. Our team primarily utilizes modern technologies including Typescript, Vue 3, Pinia, and Vitest, and we are looking for someone to help enhance our new application and rebuild other pages using this tech stack. In this role, you will be addressing two main challenges: managing the ever-increasing volume of data collected by our agents and making this information more actionable for our customers. You will collaborate closely with product and design teams to define behaviors and coordinate efforts across multiple teams to ensure successful rollout of projects. Your expertise will be vital in leading initiatives and driving the development of features that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in migrating the frontend component of CEA views to a micro-frontend architecture.
• Enhance the new application and rebuild other pages using Typescript, Vue 3, Pinia, and Vitest.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to define application behavior.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to align efforts and ensure successful project rollout.
• Address challenges related to data management and actionable insights for customers.

Requirements

• Expert understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with Vue + VueX/Pinia or React + Redux (or other state management library).
• Proven track record in leading projects and initiatives.
• Ability to quickly adapt to complex projects.
• Work experience with Java and Spring Boot framework.
• Curiosity for new areas of growth and influencing product development.
• 6+ years of experience in the tech industry.
