About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer in Infrastructure at Google Cloud, you will be responsible for developing next-generation technologies that enhance how users connect and interact with information. This role involves working on critical projects that require a deep understanding of software design, architecture, and large-scale infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, manage priorities, and contribute to the development of enterprise-grade solutions that leverage cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
• Experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and with software design and architecture.
• Experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, and/or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience in a technical leadership role.
