About the position

The position involves leveraging design and coding skills to develop next-generation capabilities in the Supply Chain space at Sam's Club. The role focuses on building modern cloud-based infrastructure to support replenishment and order management, impacting millions of lives. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with a strong attention to detail, capable of managing complex projects and ensuring high standards of code quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist small to medium-sized complex projects by reviewing and understanding project requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Gather needed information such as design documents and product requirements, and write and develop code accordingly.
• Communicate status and issues to appropriate team members and stakeholders, collaborating with project teams and cross-functional teams.
• Identify areas of opportunity and ensure solutions are sustainable across implementation and use, ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.
• Provide support to the business for new and existing systems by responding to user questions and concerns, researching needed solutions, and determining implementation designs.
• Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information, performing root cause analysis, and developing solutions.
• Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science and 6+ years' experience in software engineering OR Master of Science and 3 years' experience in software engineering.
• 6 years of experience with developing and supporting complex systems using Java programming language.
• 3-5 years of experience with Java/JEE, Spring Framework, NodeJS.
• 3-5 years of experience with Databases: Relational (Azure SQL Server, Postgres).
• 3-5 years of experience with Cloud: Azure/GCP Cloud Platform, Cloud Storage.
• 3-5 years of experience with micro-services architectures, event-based architecture (Kafka), Kubernetes, Docker.
• Experience with Monitoring & Alerting tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk.
• CI/CD experience and experience with TDD and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with DevOps and working in a KPI driven highly agile environment.

• Experience with spark and big data technologies.
