The role requires strong experience with serverless AWS technologies, specifically AWS Lambdas and ECS, as well as proficiency in MongoDB or other non-relational databases. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while collaborating with a talented team of professionals. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend systems for insurance applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Implement serverless solutions using AWS Lambdas and ECS.
  • Work with MongoDB or other non-relational databases to manage data effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and reliability.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Java programming language.
  • Proficiency in Spring Boot framework.
  • Experience with MongoDB or other non-relational databases.
  • Familiarity with AWS services, specifically Lambdas and ECS.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Familiarity with CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of Groovy programming language.
  • Previous experience in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
