About the position
The Senior Software Engineer for the Merchant Platform at Parafin will play a crucial role in building and maintaining a scalable platform that supports the company's financial offerings. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance product development and ensure system reliability, focusing on the infrastructure that powers Parafin's services for small businesses.
Responsibilities
- Own significant pieces of the merchant platform infrastructure and drive new initiatives.
- Identify, architect, and lead infrastructure investments in the core merchant platform to accelerate product development.
- Work with stakeholders across the company to improve internal tooling, monitoring, alerting, and overall system reliability.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working in a backend engineering role.
- Strong commitment to building high-quality software and pride in craftsmanship.
- Ability to own and drive the development of platform initiatives from scratch.
- Initiative to identify commonalities between different problem statements and design appropriate abstractions.
- Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals.
