About the position

The Senior Software Engineer for Mobile Applications at Handtevy Pediatric Emergency Standards is responsible for developing and enhancing mobile applications that support pediatric emergency care solutions. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and publish applications while ensuring high standards of code quality, performance, and security. The position offers a hybrid work schedule and is focused on leveraging technology to improve pediatric emergency medical services globally.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and publish mobile applications to the Apple, Google and Microsoft app stores.
  • Develop and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs to support mobile app functionalities.
  • Review requirements and technical documents, understand application features, ensure testing is completed and issues are documented.
  • Implement intuitive user interfaces and interactive features for optimal user experience.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and security standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to automated testing suites.
  • Perform code reviews.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in mobile app development and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a software engineer with a focus on mobile app development using Ionic and Capacitor.
  • Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with the Angular framework.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AI: Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLM, GenAI).
  • Experience with the NestJS framework.
  • Familiarity with database systems (MySQL, MongoDB) and RESTful API development with Node.js.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry or with healthcare-related applications.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
