About the position

The Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (Computer Vision) is a hands-on expert responsible for developing and delivering complex features in the Hinge Health app, leveraging computer vision technology. This role involves collaboration with technical leads and managers to ensure timely and high-quality feature delivery, while also providing mentorship and technical leadership within the team.

Responsibilities

• Build seamless integration between the React Native mobile application and the computer vision platform using native code.
• Work alongside the Technical Lead to execute against the product roadmap within the first 30 days.
• Design and incrementally deliver meaningful, complex features every sprint.
• Help define objectives and key results that shape the team's roadmap each quarter.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teammates and other engineers.

Requirements

• Experience developing native applications for iOS/iPadOS (Objective-C/Swift) and Android (Java/Kotlin).
• Experience working with or implementing applications based on computer vision or 3D graphics.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical degree.
• Experience working across the tech stack on iOS and/or Android, specifically Javascript, Typescript, React, React Native.
• Experience implementing mobile apps based on ML models, ideally for computer vision applications.
• Ability to understand, debug, and performance tune native code and mobile applications.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to deliver projects on time.
