About the position

The Senior Software Engineer position at Peraton involves working within the Enterprise Engineering team to provide systems engineering and integration support for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's (NGA) Sensor Integration Office. This role is critical in delivering trusted engineering capabilities to enhance national security through the integration of new sensor technologies into the Enterprise architecture. The position requires extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in cloud computing and modern software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and integration support for NGA's Sensor Integration Office.
• Deliver strategic and solutions-level systems engineering support for the integration of new sensor capabilities.
• Build and deliver working products to customers in a modern, cloud-based software environment.
• Manage MySQL database operations in a web environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or equivalent experience (4 years without a degree, or 2 years with a non-STEM degree).
• 12+ years of working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas.
• Experience in cloud computing, service orientation, containerization, micro-services, API development, or DevSecOps.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, JSP, Hibernate, Tomcat, HTML5, and CSS.
• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
