The Senior Software Engineer for Platform Solutions within Enterprise Partnerships will play a critical role in the development and enhancement of core banking and card platforms. This position requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will liaise with various multi-disciplinary teams, including Business & Strategy, Product, Architecture, Tech, Finance, and others, to support and develop features across different lines of business. The engineer will work closely with core banking platforms such as Corecard and Finacle, prioritizing product development roadmaps and aligning them with the organization's business and technological initiatives. In this role, the engineer will collaborate with Business and Product teams to identify opportunities for new features, refactor existing functionalities, and develop a robust controls and reconciliation framework. The engineer will also drive engineering solutions across application development, integration, production monitoring, incident management, and root cause analysis for issues. Analyzing data sets and developing control mechanisms will be essential to ensure compliance with key business processes, ensuring the completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of controls, and certifying quarterly Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) on the effectiveness of these controls. The position involves working with the second line of defense, Finance, back office, and operations to resolve outstanding suspense and reconciliation issues while identifying opportunities for automation. The engineer will assist in firmwide delivery and testing phases for key products and features, working with cross-functional teams to implement, integrate, and test solutions. Additionally, collaboration with Data Engineering teams will be necessary for data reporting from core systems to data warehouses, which serve various functions such as Finance, Risk, Analytics, and Reporting. Effective communication with senior business unit managers and understanding their needs will be crucial for success in this role. The engineer will also instill best practices across application development and support the review of key reports and statistics used by various teams for internal and external reporting. Finally, the engineer will assist Internal Audit in reviewing the effectiveness of internal controls and building more robust controls to mitigate customer, operational, regulatory, and reputational risks.
