About the position

At Bloomberg, data is at the heart of everything we do. As part of the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence team, you will play a critical role in driving analytics throughout the organization to improve our products, engage better with our customers, create greater efficiencies, and drive new businesses by providing insights into the data. Our data captures the who, what, when, where and why of how our clients use Bloomberg products, how our systems execute, and how our employees engage with our customers. We are responsible for ingesting and preparing massive amounts of data for reporting, dashboards, self-service and advanced analytics. Responsibilities

• Drive analytics throughout the organization to improve products and customer engagement.
• Ingest and prepare massive amounts of data for reporting and advanced analytics.
• Build and support an enterprise-level data analytics platform using industry-standard concepts.
• Assist with analysis, design, and developmental insight for the team.
• Help build a self-service platform and drive the BI community across the firm.

Requirements

• Experience in either Python, Go or Java with a focus on CI/CD.
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning for Qlik applications.
• Working knowledge of industry-standard Data Infrastructure tools (e.g., Warehouse, BI, Analytics, Big-Data).
• Proficiency in developing, architecting, standardizing, and supporting technology platforms using leading BI/Reporting solutions.
• Strong data visualization skills to design and architect solutions that drive insights.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with a wide variety of BI tools, such as Tableau, IBM Cognos, Business Objects.
• Experience in the creation of Extension objects using Qlik Capability APIs and QLIK Engine API.
• Knowledge of other programming languages such as JavaScript.
• Understanding of data warehousing methodologies and ETL processing in tools such as Informatica.
• Good understanding of network design, configurations, and protocols.
