About the position

The Senior Software Engineer, React UI Developer at SiriusXM is responsible for evolving user interfaces and defining the tools and processes needed to create compelling digital experiences. This role involves close collaboration with design and product teams to gather requirements, build solutions, and guide team members on best practices. The engineer will play a key role in developing SiriusXM's streaming music services, impacting millions of listeners daily.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience developing solutions for consumer web applications.
• Strong knowledge of NodeJS, GitHub Actions, Webpack, Vite, Nomad, Docker, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Jest, Vitest.
• Experience with writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Expertise in debugging code errors and troubleshooting API issues.
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming and handling API requests.
• Understanding of performance optimization for network communication.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
• Familiarity with trunk-based development.
• Knowledge of HTML5/JavaScript environments beyond web browsers.
• Solid understanding of React and related technologies.
• Command of web standards, best practices, accessibility, and browser compatibility issues.
