About the position

The Senior Software Engineer - Real Time Systems at Anduril Industries is responsible for developing and integrating software capabilities that enhance military systems through advanced technology. This role focuses on building and deploying real-time systems that leverage AI, computer vision, and networking technologies to support military operations. The engineer will work within a high-performing team to create infrastructure and platform services that enable rapid deployment of autonomous systems in various operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate model/software/hardware-in-the-loop components using first and third-party technologies.
• Collaborate with customers to deliver novel software capabilities.
• Build platform and infrastructure tooling to enhance the productivity of other software engineers.
• Work with team members in the autonomy domain to develop and deploy autonomous systems at scale.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working in C++.
• Experience working with customers to deliver software capabilities.
• Strong understanding of simulation, data management, compute infrastructure, and networking technologies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and partners.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with programming languages such as C, Rust, Python.
• Experience in real-time systems including robotics, networking, and simulation.
• Background in engineering settings like startups or engineering schools.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle tools such as version control and CI/CD systems.
• Understanding of computer and network systems from desktop to cloud environments.
• Experience with scalable backend software systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and data management tools.
