In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with Epson's parent company in Engineering to identify, define, and review software requirements for existing or new Factory Automation Robotics products. You will design and develop software and supporting documentation to meet customer requirements, provide advanced technical support for Factory Automation Robotics products, and maintain and troubleshoot the Factory Automation Robotics local area network and server. Additionally, you will drive the activities of the Epson America's software development team, ensuring that projects are completed on time and meet the necessary specifications. Your responsibilities will include participating in gathering user/customer requirements for software from internal sources, collaborating with Epson's parent company in the definition and review of software requirements, and assisting in the development of project plans, including time estimates and specifications. You will also assist in developing software programs for new products within project timelines and create supporting technical documentation. Furthermore, you will interface with technical support teams to resolve advanced customer technical issues and serve as a technical subject matter expert for Factory Automation Robotics products.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Epson's parent company in Engineering for the identification, definition, and review of software requirements for Factory Automation Robotics products.
  • Design and develop software and supporting documentation to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide advanced technical support for Factory Automation Robotics products.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Factory Automation Robotics local area network and server.
  • Drive activities of the Epson America's software development team.
  • Gather user/customer requirements for software from internal sources.
  • Assist in developing project plans including time estimates and specifications.

  • Create supporting technical documentation for products.
  • Interface with technical support teams to resolve advanced customer technical issues.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of experience in customer-facing software.
  • Experience developing products with C#, C++, Microsoft Windows, and Linux.
  • Robotics experience is a plus.
  • Experience with graphical user interfaces.
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
