About the position

The Senior Software Engineer - Salesforce Marketing Cloud plays a pivotal role in guiding team members and contributing to the overall engineering process. This position emphasizes collaboration within a team environment, focusing on various aspects of the Salesforce platform and products. The engineer is expected to engage in problem-solving, sophisticated design, and enhancing product quality. The role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards in code quality and efficiency, ensuring that applications perform at optimal levels while being responsive and reliable. In this role, the engineer will design and develop solutions to complex problems, either independently or collaboratively. Responsibilities include creating technical documentation, such as design specifications, and integrating data storage solutions using relational databases. The engineer will also leverage Azure services, including Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, Containers, Cosmos DB, and event hubs, to enhance system functionality. Messaging patterns for system-to-system communication will be utilized to ensure seamless integration and performance. The Senior Software Engineer will also be responsible for identifying and implementing solutions to reduce issues and defects within the platform. This includes maintaining organized, automated, and high-quality code and data. A key aspect of the role is mentoring junior team members by recommending best practices in software design and development. The engineer will operate under limited guidance, tackling moderately complex to complex issues that require in-depth analysis and evaluation of various factors. Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops solutions to various problems either independently or in a team environment.
  • Forms technical documents such as a design specification document.
  • Utilizes relational databases by integrating data storage solutions.

  • Utilizes messaging patterns for system-to-system communication.
  • Ensures applications are performing at high capacity, responsiveness, and quality.
  • Finds solutions to reduce issues and defects.
  • Maintains that the platform's code and data are organized, automated, and of high quality.
  • Guides junior team personnel by recommending software design and development opportunities/best practices.
  • Operates under limited guidance and works on moderately complex to complex issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience required.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years experience with the Salesforce platform
  • Experience in healthcare preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud highly preferred
  • Salesforce Health Cloud, Mulesoft and Data Cloud experience preferred
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator Certificate required
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator Certificate preferred
  • Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder Certificate preferred
