About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer focused on Security and Privacy within the Cloud Services team at Humane, you will play a critical role in defining the security model and controls for innovative consumer devices and their supporting services. This position involves close collaboration with various teams to ensure a cohesive product security narrative, while owning the design and implementation of key security-focused backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement PKI/management and other security infrastructure services.
• Design and implement device and user authentication systems.
• Build best practices around IAM and least privilege for both on-prem and multi-cloud infrastructure.
• Help build end-user authentication, authorization, and data best practices for a privacy-first company.
• Advise other engineers and teams on security and privacy issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Understanding of security fundamentals.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS or other cloud providers.
• Experience with Kubernetes security.
• Experience building services supporting consumer devices.
• Experience designing or maintaining PKI infrastructure.
