About the position

The position at Siemens Digital Industries Software focuses on enhancing application security for primary LCS products. The role involves leading Threat and Risk analysis discussions, implementing security processes, and automating security tools. The candidate will work independently on complex projects, providing technical leadership and expertise while ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for products with a focus on quality and on-time delivery.
• Ensure overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms.
• Create, document, and execute software designs, potentially involving significant re-architecture.
• Act as Technical Lead for major projects within one area of a product.
• Consult with customers regarding future upgrades and products.
• Influence the technical direction for one area of a product.
• Promote innovation by introducing new technology and knowledge into product areas.
• Provide high-level technical expertise and perform in-depth software systems programming and analysis.
• Lead Threat and Risk analysis discussions and track actions to improve processes.
• Expand the adoption of security tools and automate their usage.
• Communicate risks effectively and ensure development responds accordingly.
• Expand Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Level 2 testing and Fuzz testing.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Math, or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience with Threat and Risk analysis and security regulations/certifications.
• Knowledge of Python and GitLab.
• Understanding of basic security concepts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with static analysis tools, software component analysis tools, fuzzing tools, and dynamic analysis tools.
• Ability to write and maintain scripts for automation and KPI reporting.
