About the position

The Senior Software Engineer - Service Now at Publix Technology is responsible for providing operational and end-user support for the Service Catalog within the ITSM solution. This role involves configuring and developing applications using ServiceNow tools, ensuring integration and continuity across various IT management modules, and automating legacy processes. The position requires a strong understanding of ITIL processes and experience in software engineering, particularly on the ServiceNow platform.

Responsibilities

• Contribute at an advanced level to the enhancements and ongoing operation of ServiceNow.
• Provide long-term oversight for Incident Management, Request Management, Change Management, and CMDB modules.
• Contribute to ongoing design and development efforts related to the ServiceNow platform and integrations.
• Automate legacy processes using available ServiceNow workflows and best practices.
• Assist in analyzing and resolving configuration issues promptly, including Service Catalogs, Workflows, and Reporting.
• Work closely with business areas and application support teams to improve business processes.
• Maintain a large and dynamic workload while adhering to security best practices and standards.
• Perform data analysis by creating and executing complex queries, interpreting results, and communicating findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of software engineering experience.
• 5 years of experience analyzing complex business problems and translating business requirements into technology solutions.
• 5 years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform.
• 2 years of experience working with Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile project methodologies.
• 2 years of experience supporting relational database systems.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
• ServiceNow Certified Developer.
• ITIL certification or general knowledge in v3 or higher.

Nice-to-haves

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience migrating individual ITSM products (Incident Management, CMDB, Change Management, and Request Management) into ServiceNow.
