About the position

The Swift Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support a technology-based program for a key government customer. This role involves delivering engineering services for network infrastructure and enterprise computing, including end-point devices, data center servers, multi-Cloud services, and virtualized applications. The position requires expertise in ServiceNow and modern application technologies, and offers a challenging and rewarding experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engineering services for network infrastructure and enterprise computing.
  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow products using JavaScript and other coding applications.
  • Administer databases (Oracle or MYSQL) as required.
  • Estimate work effort requirements efficiently and appropriately.
  • Communicate effectively through written and verbal methods.
  • Handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Adapt to a constantly changing environment and emerging technologies.
  • Deliver enhanced functionality and support new implementations while preserving system integrity.
  • Identify issues and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

  • A minimum of sixteen (16) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Strong understanding of the ServiceNow Development Platform including ITSM, ITOM, PPM/SPM, HR Module, CSM, Asset Management, and Change Management.
  • Proven success in developing ServiceNow products using JavaScript and other coding applications.
  • Experience in Database Administration (Oracle or MYSQL).
  • Ability to estimate work effort requirements efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Adaptability to a constantly changing environment.
  • Willingness to work with newer emerging technologies/tools.
  • Ability to deliver enhanced functionality and provide continuous support.
  • High degree of initiative, creativity, and technical ability.
  • Ability to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Pursue ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification while on task.
  • BA/BS Degree or five additional years' experience in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • IT project management experience.
  • Familiarity with Scrum, Lean, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with Java, Ruby, DevOps, and DevSecOps.
