About the position
The Senior Software Engineer for Simulation Infrastructure at DoorDash Labs will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing the simulation infrastructure for autonomous delivery robots. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to design and implement solutions that facilitate large-scale simulation for testing autonomous vehicles, ensuring their safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve simulation infrastructure for autonomous vehicle testing.
- Research, design, and implement solutions for large-scale simulation execution.
- Manage scenario mining and management processes.
- Create tooling for result reporting, triage, and analysis.
- Design and implement robot data and metrics pipelines.
- Collaborate with autonomy teams to ensure the safety of autonomous vehicles.
Requirements
- B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- In-depth knowledge of data structures and advanced algorithms.
- Strong Python programming experience.
- Experience with distributed data processing.
- Experience using SQL to analyze large, semi-structured data sets.
