About the position

StubHub is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop next-generation technologies and complex features that enhance the live event experience for users and sellers. This role involves tackling significant challenges, mentoring team members, and contributing to the Seller Platform team's mission of optimizing ticket inventory management through automation and APIs. The position is hybrid, based in Aliso Viejo, CA, and emphasizes leadership, innovation, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain impactful improvements across StubHub's platforms and products.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure best practices in coding and development.
• Manage individual initiative priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using technical expertise.
• Mentor team members to enhance their technical capabilities and foster a culture of inclusion and creativity.

Requirements

• 5-6+ years of professional experience in software development.
• 2+ years of in-depth experience with React and relevant toolsets/framework ecosystems.
• Understanding of core JavaScript concepts and experience building robust stateful web applications.
• Extensive experience developing robust, mission-critical systems using multiple programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, C#, Objective-C).
• Demonstrated expertise in building software in areas such as Infrastructure, Databases, Data Processing, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, Security, and Privacy.
• Experience designing and developing solutions to complex problems with significant business impact.
• Strong understanding of system interactions within the broader production environment.
• Proven ability to learn new coding languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools.
• Experience owning projects from initial idea to production.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
