As a Senior Software Engineer / Delivery Lead, you'll blend technical expertise with team leadership, driving the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions while fostering collaboration and growth within your team.

Responsibilities

  • Understand project scope, objectives, and technical requirements.
  • Partner with the Client Strategist to develop and maintain project roadmaps and plans.
  • Drive the team to deliver solutions that balance client outcomes and project success.
  • Share key project knowledge to support onboarding and long-term success.
  • Lead by example, embodying Clockwork's values of respect, inclusivity, and collaboration.
  • Advocate Agile and Scrum principles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Guide your team through challenges with proactive problem-solving and mentorship.
  • Unblock team members, escalating risks or removing obstacles as needed.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Lead essential Agile rituals, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and roadmapping sessions.
  • Onboard and integrate new team members seamlessly into established workflows.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring alignment on goals and deliverables.
  • Lead productive client meetings and facilitate clear communication across stakeholders.
  • Keep teams focused on delivering client outcomes while balancing profitability.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in software engineering and delivery leadership, with a proven track record in Agile teams.
  • Strong background in modern web or mobile development, with hands-on experience in CMS-based solutions (WordPress preferred).
  • Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams, fostering collaboration, and resolving challenges constructively.
  • Ability to lead the delivery of complex digital projects while ensuring successful outcomes for clients.
  • Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills to manage both team dynamics and client interactions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with LAMP stack development.
  • Familiarity with strategic consulting or working closely with cross-disciplinary teams (e.g., designers, strategists).
  • Background in delivering human-centered, scalable solutions for diverse clients.
