The Brand Ads team is focused on enabling brands to grow and succeed on TikTok by creating innovative monetization products that empower users, creators, and advertisers. This team is responsible for several ad products, including reservation ads, auction ads, and innovative content ads, which help advertisers increase brand awareness and achieve their business goals. The team works on the end-to-end ads delivery tech stack, which includes ads bidding, ranking, and forecasting. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Brand Ads team, you will be tasked with creating innovative monetization products that drive engagement and business outcomes. You will develop highly scalable services that power new ad products, handling billions of requests while optimizing monetization efficiency through product engineering and state-of-the-art machine learning technologies. Your role will also involve implementing new ad solutions that protect user experiences on TikTok, collaborating with strategy teams, product managers, and other key stakeholders to define products and drive initiatives from an engineering perspective. Responsibilities

  • Create innovative monetization products that drive engagement and business outcomes.
  • Develop highly scalable services that power new ad products for billions of requests.
  • Design systems that optimize monetization efficiency with product engineering and machine learning technologies.
  • Implement new ad solutions that protect user experiences on TikTok.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant majors with 5+ years of work experience.
  • Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Go, C/C++, Python.
  • Ability to think critically and formulate solutions to problems in a clear and concise way.

Nice-to-haves

  • Good understanding in one of the following domains: brand ads, content ads, auction, bidding, ranking, and ads forecasting.
  • Good knowledge in one of the following areas: machine learning, deep learning, backend, large-scale systems, data pipeline.
  • Good product sense and experience designing and implementing product features.
