About the position

FishEye Software is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to play a crucial role in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the COBRA DANE radar system. This position involves designing and developing software that improves system functionality to meet strategic defense needs. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware, maintain high software performance standards, and ensure compliance with security and defense regulations. The role encompasses all stages of the software development lifecycle, from initial design to integration and testing, directly impacting the operational excellence of critical defense radar technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for the COBRA DANE radar system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware.
• Maintain high standards of software performance.
• Ensure compliance with security and defense regulations.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, integration, and testing.

Requirements

• B.S./M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years in software development, ideally within a Linux environment.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies, Scrum, and CI/CD processes.
• Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Experience with version control systems like GitLab, ClearCase, SVN, or similar.

Nice-to-haves

• Background in radar or defense system technology.
• Programming skills in Ada and experience with HCI platforms.
• Knowledge of signal processing or L-band frequency radar systems.
• Previous experience with military or space systems software development.
