About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join their integrated team focused on advanced radar systems and electronic warfare technology. This role involves collaboration with various engineering disciplines, participation in product improvement initiatives, and engagement in all phases of the software development lifecycle. The position requires a government security clearance and offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and program personnel.
  • Participate in cross-functional Six Sigma-style product or process improvement meetings.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools.
  • Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including design, coding, and testing.
  • Use RMS engineering processes and procedures while performing software engineering and verification activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: C, C+/C#, Java, or Python.
  • Experience in debugging, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with formal testing, verification, and validation.
  • Experience mentoring software engineers in a team setting.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Linux.
  • Experience with OOA/OOD design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with Agile development process.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and principles such as Jira, GitLab, Containerization (Docker), CI/CD, Microservices (Kubernetes).
  • Experience with threading/concurrency.
  • Real Time Embedded SW Engineering skills.
  • Interest in integrating software with hardware.
  • Experience with digital signal processing and/or radar tracking algorithms.
  • Experience with Software Modeling (UML) and architecture.
  • Understanding and application of Design Patterns.
  • Experience with Code Optimization.
  • Experience with Automated Test tools and Techniques, Static Code Analysis.
  • Experience with GPU/FPGA based architectures and languages (ex: CUDA).
