About the position

The Senior Software Engineering Manager for Adobe Product Delivery at Caterpillar Inc. is responsible for leading a team of software engineers and overseeing the development and implementation of new features on Adobe platforms. This role involves strategic planning, aligning with business initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products that maximize business value. The manager will provide technical support, manage budgets, and address team performance and development needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and direction to teams and team leaders.
  • Acquire necessary resources to accomplish work on time.
  • Manage the budget within plan.
  • Oversee performance of individual team members and the team as a whole.
  • Identify and address staff training and development needs.
  • Coordinate walkthroughs and reviews; ensure conformance to standards and adherence to design specifications.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance and schedule issues.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of leadership experience with a strong background in software engineering and technical leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent working experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Products and Delivery.
  • Hands-on experience managing a team both onshore and offshore.
  • Experience with Digital Marketing and Content Management platforms.
  • Strong background and awareness in Accessibility and CyberSecurity.
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure) and Java-based solutions.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong business judgment, including analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative and accountability.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and consensus-building skills.
