About the position

The Senior Software Engineering Manager for Adobe Product Delivery at Caterpillar Inc. is responsible for leading a team of software engineers and overseeing the development and implementation of new features on Adobe platforms. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products that align with business objectives. The manager will work closely with both internal teams and external partners to drive innovation and maximize business value.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and direction to teams and team leaders.
  • Manage the budget within plan.
  • Oversee performance of individual team members and the team as a whole.
  • Identify and address staff training and development needs.
  • Coordinate walkthroughs and reviews; ensure conformance to standards and adherence to design specifications.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance and schedule issues.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years leadership experience with a strong background in software engineering and technical leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field OR equivalent working experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Products and Delivery.
  • Experience managing a team both onshore and offshore.
  • Experience with Digital Marketing and Content Management platforms.
  • Strong background and awareness in Accessibility and CyberSecurity.
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure) and Java-based solutions.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong business judgment, including analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and accountability.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and consensus-building skills.
