About the position

The Senior Software Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions for semiconductor equipment. This role involves planning and executing software development projects, ensuring timely delivery of software releases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs. The manager will also focus on developing the engineering skills within the team and navigating a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust software solutions for semiconductor equipment.
  • Work closely with systems and hardware engineers to integrate software solutions with hardware components.
  • Deliver high-quality software releases on time for internal and external customers.
  • Interface with internal and external customers for requirement analysis, project scheduling, and software troubleshooting.
  • Develop and grow the engineering skills within the team.
  • Manage the team's activities within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Own and drive software design, feature development, verification, and release of solutions to customers.
  • Address critical issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams by building productive relationships.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in developing software that interfaces with hardware.
  • Demonstrated experience in hiring, managing, growing, structuring, and leading software engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to execute roadmap commitments.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and global counterparts.
  • Experience in hands-on software development in C/C++/C#/Java/Python, with architectural leadership role.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, passionate, proactive, and willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or similar fields with 15+ years of experience and 5+ years of experience in Semiconductor equipment industry.
