About the position

The Senior Software Engineering Program Manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is responsible for overseeing engineering development processes and the implementation of the company's products. This hybrid role requires working in the office 2-3 days a week and involves managing complex, multi-functional programs that impact technical components of HPE's offerings. The position demands strong leadership in managing resources, schedules, and budgets while ensuring effective communication across teams to meet product completion goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee programs involving multiple functions and project teams to drive engineering development and implementation processes.
  • Develop and direct schedules, critical deliverables, budgets, and resource allocation plans for assigned programs.
  • Ensure progress against established plans and make assessments to alter schedules and resource allocations as needed.
  • Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue assessments to stakeholders and collaborate with management to implement changes.
  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
  • Typically 6-10 years of experience in program management or related fields.
  • PMP/PMI certification preferred.
  • Extensive experience with project and program planning tools and software packages.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing all aspects of programs.
