About the position

Leidos is seeking a UNIX/Solaris Software Applications Tester to join a dynamic program in San Diego, CA. This role involves utilizing both manual and automated testing skills, as well as requirements documentation experience, to ensure the quality of software applications on a high-profile contract. The position requires an active Secret Clearance and offers the opportunity to work on-site with a flexible 9/80 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Test browser-based/web applications across various testing phases.
• Identify regression test candidates for automation and automate those test cases.
• Execute accessibility compliance tests and document results.
• Report, track, validate, and close defects in the software.
• Design test strategies, plans, and cases from requirements and specifications.
• Inspect and test to identify bugs, breaks, or failures in the product.

Requirements

• BS degree with 12-15 years of relevant experience or a Master's with 10-13 years of relevant experience.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Formal test background and understanding of SQL and/or PL/SQL.
• Experience with test automation methodologies.
• Experience with Oracle Solaris, Linux, and Windows workstations.
• Detail-oriented with experience creating Requirement Traceability Matrices.
• Experience with version control systems.
• Security+ certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Eclipse, JAWS, Jenkins, Selenium, Git, and Subversion.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and Scrum methodology.
• Scripting experience in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience with change control and deployment tools like Ansible and Docker.
• COMSEC Knowledge and familiarity with Cybersecurity and Cryptographic Key Management solutions.
