About the position

The Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer at Collins Aerospace will play a crucial role in developing and deploying complex information systems for the US Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. This position requires expertise in DevSecOps engineering to design new systems and improve existing ones, ensuring that the warfighter has the necessary tools for sensitive missions. The role involves collaboration with various engineering teams and the ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Integrated Product Team (IPT) teammates to design and implement DevSecOps Pipelines.
  • Develop complex systems made of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and custom Electronic and Mechanical assemblies to meet requirements.
  • Support the build and deployment process to various sites and platforms of critical systems.
  • Assist Infrastructure and Network Engineering team members in bringing critical systems to life for the US Government and warfighter.
  • Use agile development methodology to self-assign and complete tasks from the IPT Jira board based on Program Increment priorities.

Requirements

  • 4+ years' experience generating DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Experience in establishing, maintaining, and growing DevSecOps resources, CI/CD pipelines, and supporting infrastructure for automated hardware deployments.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven experience designing and configuring military compute and networking equipment, including military use of commercial cloud provider edge equipment.
  • Familiarity with technical specifications of compute, storage, and network infrastructures, including commercial cloud hardware offerings.
  • Familiarity with hardware stack design tools and views, proven experience drawing and refining rack elevations.
