About the position

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on cutting-edge platform services and integrated hybrid solutions for our US Space Force customer. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of software integration engineers, ensuring the design and maintenance of an OpenShift or similar framework that aligns with both customer requirements and overarching business objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in providing oversight and guidance for software deliveries, ensuring that all systems function cohesively as an integrated system. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines that facilitate automated testing and deployment of applications. Utilizing automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform, you will create a seamless process that transitions applications from development through testing and into operational environments. Your role will also involve conducting deep dive discovery and performance assessments on existing application integration processes, as well as integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS), and Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) applications into designated frameworks. Collaboration is key in this position; you will participate in technical discussions to assist in planning future integration efforts and work closely with both the team and the customer to ensure that Integration, Test, and Validation processes align with organizational goals and customer needs. You will provide technical guidance on containerization practices, microservices architecture, and system scalability, continuously seeking ways to modernize and enhance performance in application integration, testing, and validation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software integration engineers to design and maintain an OpenShift or similar framework.
  • Provide oversight and guidance of software deliveries.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of applications.
  • Utilize automation tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, or similar tools for seamless application integration.
  • Conduct deep dive discovery and performance assessments on existing application integration processes.
  • Integrate COTS/GOTS/FOSS applications into designated frameworks.
  • Participate in technical discussions for future integration planning.
  • Collaborate with team and customer to align Integration, Test, and Validation processes with organizational goals.
  • Provide technical guidance on containerization practices, microservices architecture, and system scalability.
  • Continuously improve application integration, testing, and validation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree & 10+ years of related experience or Master's degree & 8+ years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Technical team leadership experience, including decision making and customer interaction.
  • Proficiency in containerized technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience designing and deploying CI/CD pipelines.
  • Python skills for scripting/automation on an open framework such as MDPAF.
  • Familiarity with ELK Stack for Cybersecurity, SE, Test, and Infrastructure assessment.
  • Experience in Linux and/or Windows development lifecycles.
  • Working experience in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and work under pressure.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with USSF FORGE MDPAF development and/or architecture.
  • Experience in Mission integration and operations.
  • Experience working in a SAFe Agile development environment.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps automated integration.
  • Integration experience in hybrid platforms (Cloud, On-premise, standalone).
  • Experience with OPIR and MDPAF.
