About the position

The Senior Software Programmer will participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, working both independently and collaboratively with customers and stakeholders. The role involves eliciting and analyzing requirements, developing new functionality for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) applications, performing maintenance, and providing customer support. The position requires strong programming skills in Java, C#, ASP.NET, SQL, JavaScript, and jQuery, along with a commitment to secure coding standards and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit and analyze requirements from customers and stakeholders.
  • Develop new functionality for COTS and GOTS applications.
  • Perform maintenance on existing applications.
  • Provide customer support for software applications.
  • Utilize programming skills in Java, C#, ASP.NET, SQL, JavaScript, and jQuery to support customer missions.

Requirements

  • An active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
  • An IAT II certification as specified in the DoD 8570 or a SECNAV 5239 qualifying degree with IAT II requirements met within 6 months of start date.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree with at least 6 years of experience in web application development using Java, C#, and ASP.NET, or 10+ years of experience in the same.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to different types of situations.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience with secure coding standards and source code control systems like SVN and Git.
