About the position
The Senior Software Development Engineer at AWS Kumo is responsible for defining and building innovative AI/GenAI driven cloud computing solutions. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team to enhance AWS services, focusing on operational scalability and customer success. The position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, contributing to critical cloud services and engaging in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Define and build AI/GenAI driven cloud computing solutions for AWS customers.
- Own the architectural design and implementation of impactful AWS product offerings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and partners on high-visibility projects.
- Drive critical business initiatives to design and build operational scalability.
- Engage in all aspects of the software development lifecycle from research to ideation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Nice-to-haves
- CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional) certification.
