About the position

The Senior Software Development Engineer at AWS Kumo is responsible for defining and building innovative AI/GenAI driven cloud computing solutions. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team to enhance AWS services, focusing on operational scalability and customer engagement. The position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, contributing to critical cloud services that support a wide range of customers, from startups to enterprise-level organizations.

Responsibilities

• Define and build AI/GenAI driven cloud computing solutions for AWS customers.
• Own the architectural design and implementation of impactful AWS product offerings.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and partners on high-visibility projects.
• Drive critical business initiatives to enhance operational scalability.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from research to ideation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Nice-to-haves
