About the position

The Software QA Automation Engineer will join the Apple Service Engineering QA Team, focusing on automating features and conducting functional testing for client/server applications and associated tools/services. This role emphasizes maintaining high quality and involves collaboration with internal and external teams to train them on products. The engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, maintaining, and executing test cases with minimal supervision, while also managing multiple tasks and communicating progress effectively.

Responsibilities

• Automate features and conduct functional testing for client/server applications.
• Analyze system and application level logs to diagnose and replicate issues.
• Plan, design, maintain, and execute test cases with minimal supervision.
• Automate client-side applications and ensure their functionality as new features are introduced.
• Take ownership of assigned components and ensure their delivery with high quality.
• Collaborate closely with various product owners and cross-functional teams.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and communicate progress and risks systematically.

Requirements

• 7+ years of strong QA experience with a track record of detecting and writing bug reports.
• 5+ years of strong QA Automation & Testing experience on client-side applications.
• Proficiency in client-server API and UI automation.
• Experience working with OS X and iOS platforms and tools like Appium, Selenium, and Rest Assured.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Javascript, and Unix.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
