About the position

The Senior Software Test Engineer will lead the development, maintenance, and execution of software testing strategies for multiple Scrum teams. This role involves direct interaction with project stakeholders and requires expertise in software testing methodologies, particularly in Agile environments. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through comprehensive testing processes and innovative problem-solving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide Subject Matter Expertise to supported scrum teams regarding software testing strategy.
• Drive the development of software infrastructure for automated test solutions.
• Document the test concept development, test methodology, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting.
• Independently prepare criteria, specifications, and technical reports in the area of expertise.
• Review and evaluate the adequacy of results and conclusions from test engineering tasks.
• Devise innovative approaches to testing problems and accomplish tasks efficiently.
• Evaluate the configuration and operational relevance of test environments for thorough software testing.
• Support data collection and user engagement events.
• Assist the Department Test Lead in refining and implementing global test strategy.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to customer-related requirements.
• Ability to obtain Secret security clearance.
• Experience and aptitude in software development methodologies.
• Experience in Object Oriented Programming.
• Experience with Agile methods, including CI/CD, DevSecOps, and DevOps testing methods.
• Understanding of cloud architectures and their impact on testing methods.
• Experience with traditional Software Development Lifecycle approaches including Waterfall and V-Model.
